The Day

This is the day it all started

to hear the first of the cries I made

upon seeing a tear in my eye

it made you laugh, it made you smile.

The day I first feel the sway

the warm embrase, the sun’s ray

smell the breeze at break of day

see the sunlight as I lay

Because of this day, there is me

a friend to make you happy

one to cherish in your memory

to live with untill maturity

This is the day it all started

all the memories that I gathered

and all the things that I have to see

this is the day that I came to be

I finally understood what true love meant…it meant that you care for another person’s happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.

Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars and to watch the coming of a new day.

When you meet someone better than yourself, turn your thoughts to becoming his equal. When you meet someone not as good as you are, look within and examine your own self.
